CDC Adds Six More Symptoms That May Indicate Contraction Of Coronavirus

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced today it has added six more symptoms that could be a sign someone has contracted COVID-19.

Initially, the symptoms that have been warning signs of potential contraction included a fever, a dry cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Today, they added six more symptoms to the list – chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headaches, sore throat and the loss of taste or smell.

The CDC is advising that the symptoms may appear two to 14 days after a person has been exposed to the virus. Anyone who experiences these symptoms are advised to seek medical attention immediately.

The CDC also stated that the “emergency warning signs” of COVID-19 remain trouble breathing, persistent chest pain or pressure, new confusion and bluish lips or face.
