CMRP Launches Framework 2030 Initiative On April 8
The CMRP is the first of its kind in the region in terms of mutual planning between counties due to the expectation of significant growth.

The Central Mississippi River Regional Planning Partnership launched its Framework 2030 initiative Wednesday (April 8) with a press release announcing the collaboration between Wright and Sherburne counties for mutual planning and economic development.

Formed in 2016, the partnership includes several cities and townships from both counties – the City of Monticello and Silver Creek and Monticello Townships on the Wright County side of the Mississippi River and the Cities of Becker and Big Lake and Becker and Big Lake Townships on the Sherburne County side of the river.
The CMRP is the first of its kind in the region in terms of mutual planning between counties due to the expectation of significant growth in the corridor in coming years. Wright County Commissioner Darek Vetsch is the chairman of the CMRP and said that this is a time for future planning to be taken to the next level and working with cities and townships in Sherburne County has mutual benefit.
