Daylight Savings Time Begins Sunday at St. Michael-Albertville Sees Signs of Spring
The annual transition happens at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, as most of the nations moves clocks ahead one hour.

Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. sharp Sunday morning, but most people will, of course, "spring ahead" Saturday night before they go to bed.Â
The St. Michael and Albertville fire departments remind residents to also take the opportunity to check batteries in smoke detectors, and state-mandated carbon monoxide detectors in homes built within the last few years.Â

Since President George W. Bush signed into law a new energy policy bill in 2007, daylight savings time begins the second Sunday of March every year. This extends Daylight Saving Time by four weeks, according to NASA Eclipse Website.
