UPDATED: Matt Spaeth Returns to Pittsburgh Steelers
Days after the Chicago Bears released him, the St. Michael native is headed back to where he started in the NFL.

Update (4:30 p.m. Monday): Matt Spaeth confirmed the news on his Facebook page: "It's official. I'm back where it all started."
Original post (10 a.m. Monday): St. Michael-Albertville High School grad Matt Spaeth is back in the fold of the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN.com.
That news comes after the Chicago Bears released Spaeth last Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 tight end signed with the Bears as a free agent in 2011 and played well in his two years in Chicago. But the Bears cut ties with Spaeth earlier in the week instead of paying him a $500,000 roster bonus.
