The Wright County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform residents in need of fingerprinting that those services are now located exclusively in the Wright County Law Enforcement Center, 3800 Braddock Ave. NE, Buffalo. The LEC has always done fingerprinting, but there was also fingerprinting done at the Wright County Government Center.

The decision to remove the fingerprinting machine out of the Government Center was made because the majority of fingerprinting that is done there is in connection with the courts, which will be moving into the new Justice Center in October next door to the LEC.

Fingerprinting isn’t restricted to just the legal system. Many civilians need to get their prints taken for different reasons, including for teacher employment, those looking for a permit to carry a firearm, those looking to adopt a child, etc.

The preferred method to set up getting fingerprints taken is to make an appointment by calling (763) 684-2384, but walk-ups are also accepted.
