First Day Reflections: Kids Begin Year at St. Michael's Bright Beginnings, Fieldstone Elementary
Meghan Gutzwiller of St. Michael Patch caught up with students on their first day of the 2011-2012 school year.
As the sun began to rise on the 2011-2012 school year, students of all experience levels were headed to buildings across the St. Michael-Albertville School District.
The preschoolers, for example, are a forgotten bunch sometimes on Day One. With so much focus on the 5 and 6-year-olds head to kindergarten, Bright Beginnings was kind of in the background, offering a new home to the district's 3 and 4-year-olds.
Meanwhile, at Fieldstone Elementary, first grade meant a new independence for some, while the experienced second through fourth-graders returned on a sun-soaked morning.
