Foxtailers Snowmobile Trail Opener Event Brings Donations to Hanover Food Shelf, Hanover Fire Department

About $1,300 was donated to each of the organizations.

 

The Foxtailers Snowmobile Club's trail opener event last month raised more than $2,600 — an amount that was split between the Hanover Food Shelf and the Hanover Fire Department.

The event was a "real success," said Eric Swenson, Foxtailers Snowmobile Club president.

Proceeds from the Hanover event, hosted by Chops Bar and Grill on Dec. 3, came from over 60 silent auction items from more than 40 local and national sponsors. More than 250 people attended the event.

A check in the amount of $1,318 was presented to the Hanover Food Shelf, and another $1,318 to the Hanover Fire Department.

"We have the event as a celebration to the opening of the snowmobile season and to provide support to some of our local non-profit organizations," Swenson said. "The Foxtailers would like to thank our sponsors and everyone in attendance at the event for their support."
