Friendly Faces, Great Food at Albertville Farmers Market
A Thursday evening trip to the city's central park can yield anyone a pack of produce.
Thursday will be a beautiful day to be at the Albertville Farmers Market.
After some rainy and extreme hot Thursdays, this week's forecast will offer a pleasant change to have full sun and the typical summer warmth.
There is always a wide variety of local, seasonal produce sold by local farmers. Albertville resident, Mike Newman, stopped by Thursday to pick up some sweet corn and red potatoes.

“I have a garden at home that I grow many of my veggies in but it’s nice to come here and get things I don’t grow because it’s local. It’s kind of nice today with the music and everyone is always friendly,” he shared.
Last Thursday,The Riddle Brothers provided music for locals picking up their veggies or eating brats and hotdogs made by the Albertville Lions. That will continue through the season.

Paul Ruter, of Ruter Family Farms in Hanover was there selling his sweet corn this week.
“I hope I brought enough,” he shared, “I’ve been busy so far today and it’s going quickly.” With two hours left at the market Thursday Ruter was already running low.
This isn’t the only farmers market Ruter and his farm participate in. “My kids are selling in Maple Grove right now and we also do the Buffalo and Rogers farmers markets.”
When asked what he likes about the Albertville Farmers Market, Ruter leans in close and says, “This one’s my favorite.”
