Frugal Finds: October's Arrival in St. Michael-Albertville
Fall is officially underway, here's a few ways to have some fun and not spend a lot of money doing it.

1. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Visit the on-site information site at and donate $10 to the Susan G. Komen for the cure foundation and you will receive a special savings card. Participating stores are offering a 25% discount with this card on single items.
2. Artistic Sole Dance Academy in Colonial Mall is offering free classes Friday night. Come Friday, October 7th at 5:30 p.m. for a chance to try Zumba, jazz, ballet and hiphop classes. Refreshments will be served and various door prizes and class discounts will be given away if you decide you'd like to enroll yourself or your child.
3. St. Michael/Albertville Youth Hockey will be selling pumpkins Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot The pumpkins were donated by a hockey player's grandparents, and all money will go directly to youth hockey.

4. Theis having an open house on Saturday, October 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Go and let your kids climb in and out of the trucks, meet the firefighters in their equipment and enjoy some refreshments. Bring your camera! If you go, share your photos on the St. Michael Patch Facebook page.
5. The annual Pork Chop Feed is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at the church. This is a great night of fellowship, music, fun and some great food. Everyone is welcome.
