The results of the match matters little, but the learning experience could prove invaluable for the Knights in the postseason.
KNIGHTS WIN IF β¦
Just by getting such a quality opponent on the schedule, the Knights have already won, in a sense. With a 10-4 overall record, St. Michael-Albertville has high expectations for the playoffs, and playing a team with the pedigree of Bethlehem Academy sure can't hurt.
CARDINALS WIN IF β¦
They're as good as usual. Bethlehem Academy has won its conference every year since 2000, and had advanced not just to the state Class A tournament, but to the state championship match, eight years running until their streak was snapped last year. The Cardinals were state champions in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009, and are the top-ranked team in Class A again this year, according to both the state coaches poll and MaxPreps.
CLOSER TO HOME: The girls take on Rogers (Tuesday night) for Parents Night. Tip is at 7 p.m. This weekend, the Knights host a myriad of teams beginning Friday afternoon for the first-ever STMA Invitational. Action continues Saturday, all day, at the high school.
