Holy Spirit Academy to host World Renowned Rwandan Conflict Survivor

While the eyes of the world sadly consider the recent atrocities in Syria, Egypt, Kenya, and Sudan Immaculee Illibagiza has made great effort to spread a message of charity, forgiveness and mercy.Β  If there is anyone who deserves to be served the vindication of revenge, it is Immaculee. In 1994, her father, mother, and two siblings were brutally slaughtered. Immaculee was spared her life, clutching the rosary her father had given her, while she and seven other women hid in a tiny 3 foot by 4 foot bathroom at a local home for 91 days.Β  In response to current global unrest the Holy Father and world bishops are calling for prayer, dialogue, and forgiveness. At every opportunity, Immaculee, who has authored multiple books, spoken with several U.S. presidents, and been blessed to meet Pope Benedict, continues spreading her inspirational message of forgiveness.

For an opportunity to hear Immaculee Illibagiza speak this fall, please contact St. Michael Parish, in St. Michael, MN.Β  Immaculee will be addressing the faithful during a November 16th event after the regular 8 am mass.Β  The event will begin with an 8 am mass, followed by a free-will donation breakfast, confessions, the talk, and a book signing.
