Honoring St. Michael-Albertville Teachers

As the school year winds down for St. Michael-Albertville students, in part one of a two part series, Patch is honoring some of the district's best teachers.

It's no secret that St. Michael-Albertville has an abundance of great teachers teaching in the eight different buildings throughout the community.

But there are times that teachers and staff go beyond great! Some go above and beyond helping students and others and deserve a little end of the year recognition.

Diane Onerheim, Kindergarten Teacher "She is a very hard worker. She is a very skilled teacher who uses current pedagogy and best practice strategies to maximize growth for each of her students. She is always willing to volunteer for extra duties. Staff know they can count on her as she is extremely dependable and goes out of her way to help others. Her willingness to serve in this capacity makes her an invaluable asset of the kindergarten team," said principal and district curriculm director Dr. Ann-Marie Foucault.

Carrie Welker, Early Childhood Special Education Kindergarten Teacher  "She is highly respected by all who come in contact with her," said Dr. Foucault. "Her outgoing personality and professional demeanor allow her to work efficiently with many and her positive attitude makes her a strong role model for others.  In addition, she is extremely adept at building strong and meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents. She works extremely hard to get to know her students as she realizes strong relationships are the foundation for maximizing student learning."
