John Faas Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk & Community Picnic

The John Faas Foundation along with the Yellow Ribbon Foundation will be hosting a family walk/run and silent auction/raffle on Monday, May 26th at 11:00am. The race will start and finish at the Hanover Settler's Park.

John Faas grew up in Minnesota and dedicated this life to protecting our great county. John was a ...Navy SEAL with the elite SEAL Team 6. John and 21 other Navy SEALS were killed while protecting our freedom on August 6, 2011. There is no better day to celebrate his life and the lives of all Veterans than today, Memorial Day. The John Faas Foundation is a non-profit scholarship foundation. The scholarship's benefit the children of our Naval Special Warfare Community (SEALS).

We invite you and your family to participate in the Memorial Day activities. The 5K family walk/run will begin at 11:00am at Settler's Park. Pre-registration cost is $25.00 per person and comes with a race day t-shirt, or you can participate without a t-shirt for $10.00 per person (10 and under free). To guarantee a t-shirt, pre-registration are due by May 19th. Race day registration will begin at 10:30am, cost will be $15, t-shirt not included. A limited amount of t-shirts will be available for purchase. Following the race, we will have a community picnic at the park, (Bring your lawn chairs and food) there will be a silent auction/raffles, entertainment and beer and pop will be available for purchase. ALL proceeds from this event will be given to the John Faas Foundation.
