Judge Grants Prosecution, Defense Motions In Ulrich Case In Wright County

Gregory Ulrich made his second appearance in court this morning (March 22) related to the Feb. 9 shootings at the Allina Health Clinic in Buffalo. The hearing was brief and conducted virtually. Ulrich’s attorney requested and was a granted a Rule 20 evaluation to determine Ulrich’s competency to stand trial. Wright County Attorney Brian Lutes was granted two discovery requests – to obtain a DNA sample from Ulrich and to keep the victims’ information confidential.

Ulrich’s next hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, May 20.
