June Events at the St. Michael Library

Come learn more about bats and other nocturnal creatures as well as make a craft at the library.

The St. Michael-Albertville-Hanover library has three free events for children and families this month.

On Tuesday June 19, school age children are invited to attend a program called Bats Incredible from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. If you hate mosquitoes, then you must love Minnesota bats. Learn about bat myths and bat truths. This program is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and presented by Jill Mertes from the St. Michael library staff. The attendance limit is 35 and preregistration is required.

On Thursday June 21 children of all ages are invited to complete a Bat Craft Make and Take. Staff will have a bat craft available for you to complete any time during open hours, 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Also on Thursday June 21 school age children are invited to a program called Who's Awake? from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. While most people are sleeping, many animals are out and about having all kinds of fun. Visit the library for stories, activities and crafts about nocturnal animals. Come as you are; pj’s are welcome.

For additional information or to pre-register, please contact the St. Michael library at 763-497-1998.
