Minnesota Connections Academy Students Visit Sea Life Aquarium
Field trips and community activities offer a great way to gather with peers, family members and staff.

Students from the K-12 online public school MTS Minnesota Connections Academy and their families, including St. Michael-Albertville's Lexi Kemmetmueller (6th grade), took an exciting field trip to Sea Life Aquarium at the Mall of America. The 1.3 million gallon aquarium is home to thousands of sea creatures, including freshwater stingrays, a four-foot alligator, sea turtles, sharks, jellyfish and seahorses.
The school's field trips and community events offer students, who attend the tuition-free school from home, the chance to socialize with other students, family members and faculty. More than 2,000 students across the state are currently served by the school's 80 full-time faculty members, which includes state-certified teachers, school guidance counselors, special education professionals, and administrative staff.
βWe're proud to offer families a high-quality education option that helps meet the needs of every child," says Melissa Gould, principal at Minnesota Connections Academy. Connections Academy meets the needs of students and families looking for an alternative to a traditional school settingβthose who need a flexible schedule, learn at a different pace from their peers, need more individualized attention or seek a learning environment outside of a traditional classroom. Real-time, virtual information sessions are available. To RSVP and for a complete event schedule, visit www.MinnesotaConnectionsAcadem....
