Minnesota School of Business Partners with Rivers of Hope for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Event

They say in
order to truly understand someone’s experience, you must walk a mile in his or
her shoes. 

The Minnesota School of Business-Elk River campus has teamed up with
Rivers of Hope, advocates for ending family violence, to host a Walk a Mile in
Her Shoes event on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11 a.m., where 30 participants will
be doing just that. 

Walk a Mile in
Her Shoes aims to raise awareness for abuse and assault against women by asking
men to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes. This fun event gets the community to talk
about the serious issues related to gender relations and sexual violence. T

he
walk will begin at the Minnesota School of Business campus and will stretch
throughout one mile in the Elk River community.
