Her thoughts:

  • Specifically, my idea will help first graders as they develop their knowledge of letters, words, and numbers.
  • I believe my idea is unique and innovative because it allows the students to receive academic help and support though updated methods.
  • One thing that might surprise people about my idea is the range of academic activities that can help learning through technology.
  • The hardest part about carrying out my idea might be correlating the activities and apps to learning standards.
  • I’ll have help getting it all done from the assistance of colleagues throughout the district as well as online resources.
  • I’ll know I’m halfway to achieving my goal when I have created activities for the iPad that practice specific skills.
  • I’ll keep myself (and/or my team) motivated by, tracking data of positive growth in the target skill areas.
