Paving Underway on Interstate 94 Project

After a hot summer with a rainy start, crews are beginning the paving process on Interstate 94 this week.

The Westbound Interstate 94 project has continued progressing well and on schedule, reported Adam Nafstad, Albertville City Enginner at Monday night's council meeting. "The majority of the work on the west wall is nearing completion and the  foundation for the east wall under the Cty Road 37 Bridge has begun," Nafstad reported.

The interstate was down to one lane Monday night as the contractor began the paving process. There will be various times, mostly in the evening hours, that the interstate will be down to one lane to pave the various parts of the project including the ramps.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year and is currently on schedule.
