This was a warm day but we all had a great time. We started out with meeting the Paynesville girls for pictures and moved on from there. We had a few royalty groups with is so we all decided to find a shady spot and we talked until it was time to get on the float. The parade was amazing. It was fun seeing all the friendly faces and to see all my dad’s friends from work. After the parade we were served a delicious meal. We had breaded chicken, glazed carrots, and my all-time favorite mashed potatoes and gravy. But that was not all for dessert we had cupcakes. Also to our surprise we won 2nd place for a Grand Marshal Award on our Albertville float. Miss Albertville Sidney, Princess Katie and I had a great time getting our pictures taken before the coronation both outside and inside the school. What a great day. The 2 candidates from Dassel were such nice girls and it was great watching both of them get crowned. The gentleman dressed as a red roaster for Dassel Days was funny and great to watch. Dassel has a fantastic community and I am so glad I was able to be a part of this event.
