Rain Checks Can Be the Ticket to More Savings in St. Michael, Albertville

Patch's coupon queen returns with a question we've all faced once or twice: Can I get a rain check?

Weekly Tip:  Rain Checks

Have you ever gone to your local store to purchase an item on sale and the shelf is empty? Next time, go to the customer service desk and ask for a rain check. Most stores are more than happy to do this for you, if they provide rain checks.

Each store policy differs, but mot rain checks are good for at least 30 days or more. You can always combine your manufacturer’s coupon with a rain check item, as long as you coupon has not passed the expiration date when you make your purchase. So when your store gets that particular item back in stock you can use that rain check to get the past sale price.

With the increased use of coupons in our area, you are likely to find empty shelves at some of your favorite stores from time to time. This is just one way you can still purchase the products at the sale price at a later date.

I use rain checks all the time. I will always as a store associate to check in their stock room for more of a sale item if I see they are out.  And sometimes they will have more in back, but in the event they are out I ask for my rain check. It may take a little more time, but it’s worth the huge savings in the end.
