Recorder's Office To Continue Contactless Transactions For Licenses, Certificates In Wright County

The department is taking phone appointments for several of the services it provides.

The Wright County Recorder’s Office is going to be providing services as the county phases in opening its public counters. Wherever possible, the office will strive to retain as little contact as possible to adhere to social distancing and safety measures currently in place.

The department is taking phone appointments for several of the services it provides. For real estate recordings, residents are encouraged to call (763) 682-7360. The number to call for vital records, birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates is (763) 682-7942. The number to call for the issuance of marriage licenses and the filing of credentials is (763) 682-7355.

One area the Recorder’s Office is unable to fulfill requests deals with the issuance of passports. That service has been suspended by federal restrictions beyond the control of local jurisdictions.

“The Recorder’s Office provides essential services to the citizens of Wright County and has maintained operations providing services throughout these unprecedented times,” Wright County Recorder Tanya West said. “We are here to serve the public and we will continue to provide customer service while maintaining social distancing and safety guidelines. We understand the importance of protecting the health and well-being of the public and our employees, so we will continue to offer no-contact services electronically, mail through the U.S. Postal Service, via drop box or fax.”
