River Street In Wright County Closed Until Thursday For Traffic As Part Of Storm Sewer Project

The purpose of the new structure will help treat water going into the Mississippi River.

As part of the Maple Street storm sewer project in Monticello, River Street will be closed to through traffic at Maple Street today (Aug. 18). The street is closed to allow a crane to install a new storm sewer structure. The purpose of the new structure will help treat water going into the Mississippi River, trapping sediment and trash to prevent it from entering the river.
