Sean Scharlau 3rd from STMA Picked for All-Star Football Game: Press & News
Only past STMA selections were Chris Kleven and Matt Spaeth, the newspaper reported.

For the third time ever, a St. Micheal-Albertville High School football player has been chosen to play in the state all-star high school game, according to the Press & News.
Senior Sean Scharlau told the newspaper his selection came as a surprise:
Scharlau said he was both surprised and honored when first hearing of the news in mid-February from head coach Jared Essler.

“At first I was surprised when Essler told me to fill out the form to be nominated,” said the 6-foot-1, 270-pound Scharlau. “I was pretty honored once I found out I was chosen. There are a lot of bigger and better linemen out there, but it feels good.”
