This past summer the Parks and Recreation Department evaluated the software that we have been using for the past several years for our facility bookings (shelters and campgrounds). In this review we determined that the current software, is no longer meeting the needs of you, the customer and the department.
The new software is PerfectMind. It provides functionalities that the current system did not such as being mobile friendly, and the ability select multiple dates, and a more intuitive platform. Due to this change we are a little behind in getting the new software up to speed to open the shelter reservations the first Monday in January like we usually do. A couple of things to be aware of once the changeover happens. First, your account that you have had with us will no longer be valid. You will need to log in and create a new account. Our goal is to have the system live on January 6, 2021 for you to create your new accounts before we open the shelter reservations. Secondly, there will be some procedural changes with the new system. They are minor and shouldn’t impact you much. The most notable one is you will need to provide an approximate number of guests that will be your event when you book a facility. The other improvement that we you will see is that we will be able to take activity registration online with this new platform. Having the ability to provide online registration and payment by credit card is something we are looking forward to as we develop more programs for you to enjoy.
