St. Michael-Albertville High Students Raise Money for St. Jude's
The National Honor Society recently held a Penny War to raise more than $500 for the children's hospital network.

The St. Michael-Albertville National Honor Society recently organized a school-wide competition called “Penny Wars” to help raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The competition involved all four grade levels as well as high school staff. Each grade brought in coins to put in either their own jar or a competitors jar. When adding up totals for each group, pennies counted as positive points and any other coins or bills counted as negative points.
Because of the fierce competition between classes, there were many “attacks” on each other’s jars, so the class with the least negative points determined the winner, which was the sophomore class this year.
