St. Michael-Albertville Special Olympics Team Competes in Regional Bowling
The St. Michael-Albertville Special Olympics team competed this last Saturday at River City in Monticello.
The St. Michael-Albertville Special Olympics team had their regional bowling tournament this past Saturday. The STMA team had 20 athletes competing at River City Extreme in Monticello. Of the 20 athletes, the team brought home six 1st place ribbons, five 2nd place ribbons, seven 3rd place ribbons and one 4th and 5th ribbon.
"Everyone did really well," Aimee Libby said earlier this week.

These athletes will now move on to the state tournament which will take place Sat., Nov. 10th. Until then, the team practices Monday nights at River Lanes.
This is the third sport the Special Olympics team has offered since launching last spring. The next sport they will be offering is basketball this winter.
The STMA Special Olympics team is having a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday morning at Liberty Restaurant from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Several of the athletes will be there helping with the fundraiser.
