St. Michael Cornerstone Solution Comes Into Clear Vision
It's an eye for an eye, as Eye West will move into the former Cornerstone Vision location.
There is good news for anyone stung by the closure of Cornerstone Vision Clinic and anyone looking for a top notch eye clinic in St. Michael.
EyeWest Vision Clinic of Rogers is "excited" to announce the upcoming opening of their second location in St. Michael. Eye West Vision Clinic will be taking over the space previously held by Cornerstone Vision Clinic – but there is no relationship between the two clinics.
“We were saddened by the turn of events with Cornerstone Vision Clinic” says Dr. Leah Colby, owner of EyeWest Vision Clinic. “However, we have been looking at a location in this community for the past five years and this location is ideal for our patients.”

EyeWest Vision Clinic recently celebrated their ninth anniversary of business and has continued to experience growth in spite of the economy.
“We’ve been very blessed by the support of the northwest communities and look forward to having a more convenient location for the patients we already see from the St. Michael-Albertville area.”

Dr. Colby wants to be clear that they did not buy Cornerstone Vision Clinic as a business; they are only taking over the location. “We recognize that there are a lot of patients that didn’t get the services or products they had paid for. We have been working with labs and contact lens companies trying to see what we can do to recover some of their losses”, said Cheri Butler, EyeWest Office Manager.
“We are excited to offer excellent care to the families of the STMA area. When you come in our clinic, we will learn your name, we will care about you and we will take the time to educate you on your treatment choices. We are a clinic – not a store – there is a doctor here every day but Sunday. We are not Cornerstone, we have nothing to do with that clinic other than using the space they used before us. We have an entirely different business model," shares Dr. Colby.
The Eye West doctors and staff will be at the new clinic in St. Michael on Saturday, Aug. 13, during the St. Michael Daze and Nights weekend, handing out information and freebies as they prepare to open the doors to their new location.
“We’re looking forward to meeting those of you that we don’t already know in the community”, said Dr. Gina Stokes-Johnson.
EyeWest Vision Clinic and Optical does more than just perform comprehensive annual eye exams. They also provide the following specialized services: customized contact lens including bifocal, astigmatism and hard to fit contacts, emergency eye care, diabetic eye exams, lasik consultations, management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, pink eye, dry eye and lazy eye as well as exams for patients on high risk medications.
Eye West currently serves 10,000 patients with 2000 of those patients living in the St. Michael-Albertville and Hanover areas.
