U of M's David Thorn from STMA Faces No. 1 Seed in NCAA Wrestling Tournament

Event starts Thursday morning. ESPN channels will carry the action.

 

David Thorn, a University of Minnesota wrestler from St. Michael-Albertville High School, has a mighty matchup when the NCAA wrestling tournament opens Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Thorn enters the tournament unseeded at 125 pounds. His first opponent: Alan Waters of Missouri, the No. 1 seed.

We would like to wish STMA alum David Thorn and the rest of the Golden Gophers good luck on there quest for a national championship.

Thursday’s opening session will begin at 11 a.m. Central. The event concludes with the championship finals on Saturday evening. The entire tournament will be aired live by the ESPN family of networks.
