STMA's Waldeland Takes 53rd At State Golf
Waldeland shot a 161 overall at the two-day event at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids
St. Michael-Albertville junior Eric Waldeland finished the Class AAA state tournament on Wednesday with a 53rd place finish at the two-day event.
Waldeland finished his 36 holes at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids with a 161 total score, good for sole possession of 53rd place. He followed up his round of 81 on Tuesday with a round of 80 on Wednesday, highlighted by shooting 39 on the East nine holes.
Forest Lake’s Max Kelly finished as the individual state champion with a round of 143.

In the team competition, Wayzata and Rogers finished tied for the state championship. Wayzata shot a 291 on the final day to tie Rogers with a 592 overall score.
