Three St. Michael-Albertville Students Competed in State Track and Field
Hannah Johnson, Abbie and Tucker Vaughan all qualified and competed in the state track and field competition last weekend at Gustavus.

Three students from qualified for and competed in the State Finals of the Hershey's Track and Field Games, held at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter on Saturday, June 23.
Tucker Vaughan, 12, of Albertville qualified by placing first in the 400 meter and the 800 meter races at the district meet in Princeton on June 16. He also placed third in the standing long jump. Abbie Vaughan, 10, of Albertville advanced to the state meet after placing first in standing long jump and 100 meter race, and third in the 400 meter at the Princeton meet. Hannah Johnson, 11, of St. Michael qualified by placing second in the standing long jump at the local meet held in Annandale, and third in the 400 meter.
At the state level, Tucker earned two fifth place finishes in the 400 meter and 800 meter races. Hannah placed eighth in the standing long jump. Abbie took eighth in the 100 meter race and second in the 4x100 meter relay.

Abbie also set a new school record for the mile run at in May, with a time of 7:21.
