With Primary Election Day one week from today (Aug. 11), those voting by mail are encouraged to get their ballots in this week. To be eligible, mailed ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, Aug. 11, and be received on or before Thursday, Aug. 13. In-person delivery of an absentee ballot must be received by 3 p.m. on Election Day.

Also, for those wishing to cast early ballots to avoid potential crowds at polling places prior to the Aug. 11 election, the absentee voting locations in the county – the Wright County Government Center and city halls in Albertville, Buffalo, Delano, Hanover, Monticello, Otsego and St. Michael – will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10.
