The WOW program brings Public Health nurses to various locations throughout the county to provide reduced cost services, including immunizations for all ages, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, Mantoux tests, pregnancy screenings, dental fluoride applications and car seat safety checks.

The program also had radon test kits and well testing kits available. The WOW program provides education to residents in matters like child development, health concerns and promoting healthy lifestyles.

One of the primary focuses of the December schedule remains residents coming in to get flu shots. While the majority of immunizations take place in October, this year most winter flu immunizations didn’t start until November and those who have held off getting doing so are encouraged to get their flu shot soon.
