Wright County Accepts Applications For Absentee Voting

With growing concerns being expressed about the length of time COVID-19 will impact our lives, many are going to use the option of voting via absentee ballot during the coming elections.

The State of Minnesota is now taking applications for absentee ballots for the Aug. 11 primary election, the Nov. 3 general election or both. To print out an application, click here: https://www.sos.state.mn.us/media/2444/english-regular-absentee-ballot-application.pdf or voters can apply on-line at the Secretary of State’s website https://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/other-ways-to-vote/. Those who apply online will have their application automatically queued to the appropriate county. Paper applications that are filled out need to be mailed or dropped off at the Wright County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office, 10 Second St. NW Room 230, Buffalo, MN 55313.

Absentee voting for the primary election begins Friday, June 26 and can be done in person at the Wright County Government Center. Seven cities also offer absentee voting – Albertville, Buffalo, Delano, Hanover Precinct 2, Monticello, Otsego and St. Michael. Absentee voting can be done in person as the respective city halls.
