Wright County Board To Adopt 2021 Preliminary Budget And Levy At Its September 15 Meeting

The Wright County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to adopt its 2021 Preliminary Budget and Levy at its next meeting (Tuesday, Sept. 15).

The preliminary budget and levy amounts are not yet final. Once the county board adopts a resolution setting the preliminary numbers, the budget or levy figures have the ability to be reduced, but can’t be increased.

As part of the Sept. 15 meeting, the board will discuss setting a Special Board Meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1. This public meeting has commonly been referred to as the Truth In Local Taxation Hearing.

The 2021 Final Budget and Levy is expected to be officially adopted at the Dec. 15 county board meeting.
