Wright County Board Of Commissioners Declare State Of Emergency

Earlier today (March 17), the Wright County Board of Commissioners declared a State of Emergency that included closing public facing counters in the Government Center. However, two areas of the Government Center remain open – Court Administration and Court Services/Probation.

Court Administration remains open and is operating according to the Minnesota Supreme Court order issued on Friday, March 13. More information can be found on the Minnesota Courts website at http://mncourts.gov/Emergency.aspx.

The same is true for Court Services/Probation. Many of the people that the department is servicing are individuals that have been issued orders by judges, such as probation requirements, that need to be met. At this time, those functions remain in place and those that are scheduled to meet with Court Services/Probation staff need to continue to do so pending a potential violation of a judge’s order.

Aside from those two areas of the Government Center, the remaining public access counters will remain closed until Wednesday, April 1 when the status of re-opening or extending the closure will be determined.
