Wright County Dec. 24 Board Meeting Cancelled

The Wright County Board of Commissioners won’t be meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 24. The meeting was cancelled earlier in the year because there were five Tuesdays in December. When a month has five Tuesdays, it has always been board practice to cancel a meeting on one of those dates.

The timing of the Christmas holiday played a factor in the decision, as all county offices will close at noon on Christmas Eve and will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26.

The board will meet Tuesday, Dec. 31 to close out the final payment of bills for 2019 as well as a regular agenda of items that will be discussed and voted on the conclude board business for 2019.
