On Saturday, October 2, the Wright County Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting its Ninth Annual Disabled Veterans Waterfowl Hunt. The event is a chance to give back to those veterans who have put their lives on the line for the freedoms we enjoy.

The event will be held at Robert Ney Memorial Park Reserve and will include a morning waterfowl hunt followed by a luncheon, a dog demonstration and trap shooting at the Hasty-Silver Creek Sportsmen’s Club. The hunt will be limited to eight participants – who must live in Minnesota and provide proof that they are a disabled veteran. All who qualify are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday, Sept. 10 and will be limited to eight participants, who will be selected in a lottery of applicants.
