Wright County Highway Department Seeking Public Input For Highway 19 Project

The current design in the area was done in 2008 and was intended to be an interim solution.

December 15, 2020

The Wright County Highway Department has set up a webpage to provide a virtual open house for a construction project in St. Michael involving the intersection of CSAH 19/Central Avenue and CSAH 19/St. Michael Parkway. Wright County has received federal funding to reconstruct CSAH 19 (Main Street) in the area of Highway 241 one-way pairs from Ash Street to Chestnut Street starting in the spring of 2022. There are numerous land uses along the proposed construction, including commercial, single-family residential and high-density residential. The current design in the area was done in 2008 and was intended to be an interim solution. Since 2004, traffic on CSAH 19 has grown by more than 50 percent. Two viable alternatives have come forward and the Highway Department is looking for citizen comment on the two concepts. Those interested in providing input can find the materials associated with the project at https://www.csah19main.com/. The open house will end Friday, January 8, 2021. Additional information on the project is available at http://www.co.wright.mn.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2166.
