Wright County Offers Free First-Time Homebuyer Class Thursday
The class will be offered Jan. 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Monticello.
Those thinking about buying a home, or are already in the process of purchasing are invited to attend a one-day workshop — "Home Stretch" — to learn about the basics of home ownership.
Home Stretch is set for Jan. 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montiello, located at 449 West Broadway.

The free class is offered by Wright County Community Action.
Area lenders, real estate agents, and other housing professionals are expected to provide information. A presentation on how to choose and work with a real estate agent and lender will also be given.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the pros and cons of home ownership and the responsibilities in today's economy — including information on money management, tips on shopping for a home, home inspection and the basics of home maintenance.
