The flood wall project along County Highway 17 in the City of Delano north of the U.S. Highway 12 overpass is in its final stages and the Wright County Highway Department announced Tuesday that the road will re-open on Friday, Dec. 20, by the end of the work day.
CSAH 17 has been closed since Nov. 4 and traffic has been detoured for a safety project to install sheet piling along a short segment of the Crow River shoreline.

The highway department wishes to thank residents who were inconvenienced by the road closure and detour, but stressed that, given the history of flooding in the area along the South Fork of the Crow River in Delano, the flood wall safety project was important for the long-term benefit of the area.
