• Waite Park Domestic Assault Suspect Leads Police On Slow Pursuit (1037theloon.com) — Waite Park residents may have noticed a heavy police presence Wednesday afternoon after officers pursued and arrested a 20-year-old domestic assault suspect who allegedly rammed multiple squad cars during a slow-speed chase. Police say the incident began with a traffic stop on 7th Street South, escalated when the driver tried to back toward an officer, and ended when officers boxed in the vehicle and pulled him out. 
• Man Gets 33 Months for Role in $250 Million Feeding Our Future Fraud (townhall.com) — A massive COVID-era child nutrition fraud scheme included a Stigma-Free International meal site in Waite Park, where conspirators falsely claimed to serve part of nearly five million meals. A St. Paul man has now been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for his role, after authorities say he helped divert about $1.6 million from the program into homes, real estate, and businesses.
