6 SoWashCo Students Participate In All-State Honor Band In South Washington County
Of the six students selected, four students are from Woodbury High School and two students are from Woodbury Middle School.

Six South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) students were selected to perform in the Minnesota Band Directors’ Association All-State Honor Band. Students will take lessons, rehearse and perform virtually on April 17, 2021.

Of the six students selected, four students are from Woodbury High School and two students are from Woodbury Middle School. Woodbury High School students include Will Schmidt (bassoon), Owen Rodgers (trombone), Zuleika Dewan (percussion) and Ellsa Sorenson-Wagner (percussion), Woodbury Middle School students include Tove Griffiths (oboe) and Ryan Niu (clarinet).
Students across the state auditioned to participate in this selective ensemble. This year, 260 students from 61 high schools auditioned and approximately 70 students were selected. Congratulations to the selected SoWashCo musicians!
