Adam Zimmer Found Dead In Mendota Heights Home: Report

The 38-year-old son of Mike Zimmer helped run the Minnesota Vikings defense in 2021.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — The body of Adam Zimmer, the son of Mike Zimmer, was found at his home in Mendota Heights on Monday, according to a Star Tribune report.

Adam Zimmer was the Vikings' co-defensive coordinator in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

"There was nothing suspicious," Police Capt. Wayne Wegener told the newspaper, adding that "there didn't appear to be any evidence of foul play."

Around 1:15 p.m. on Monday, Mendota Heights police responded to a welfare check for Adam Zimmer at his home on the 2500 block of Condon Court, where they found his body.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will investigate the cause of death.

Corri Zimmer announced the news of her brother's death over social media Tuesday morning. She also asked people to "pray for our family" in a tribute to him on Instagram.
