Visit Camp Ripley and Military Museum

A Camp Ripley active military soldier will greet you, give a tour and show how the soldiers are trained and live on campus. See actual equipment, weapons, uniforms, and memorabilia that bear witness to history. Gain a glimpse into what life was like for those who were there. Understand the history and enjoy a meal at the mess hall. It will be a day to learn, embrace and appreciate our military. Leave Senior Center at 6:45 a.m., Newport Lutheran at 7:00 a.m., Woodbury Lutheran at 7:15 a.m.

"Minneapolis Queen" Paddleboat/Locks & Dam

Take a narrated sightseeing cruise on our historic Minneapolis Queen Paddleboat, a 100' modern day replica of the grand riverboats that used to cruise the Mississippi River. As the Minneapolis Queen paddles along the Skyline, your Captain will provide you with historical facts and point out sights like the Historic Stone Arch Bridge, the Upper and Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock System, the Guthrie Theater, Boom Island Park, Nicollet Island, and more! Lunch included.
