Authorities Investigate Possible Arson in Lake Elmo
The homeowner told deputies he heard loud crashes early Wednesday morning but was able to put the fire out himself.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible arson incident at a Lake Elmo home early Wednesday morning.
At about 4:15 a.m. authorities received a 911 call about a fire at the 5300 block of Lake Elmo Avenue, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
The homeowner told police he heard several loud crashes and a vehicle sped away from the home as he was calling 911.

He was able to put the fire out himself, and there was minor damage to the home, the release says.
The incident is under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
