Bloomington Homicide Investigation Leads To Dead Body In Woodbury
A homicide investigation in Bloomington lead detectives to the location of a dead person in Woodbury Thursday.
WOODBURY, MN — Bloomington police detectives continue to follow up on leads related to the disappearance of William Albrecht, and on Thursday afternoon, that investigation lead them to discovering a dead body in Woodbury.
"We are not in a position at this time to make a positive identification," Bloomington police said in a statement Thursday. "We are working this active scene along with Woodbury PD, Hennepin County Crime Lab, and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner."
Initially a missing person case, it's now being investigated as a homicide.

Albrecht was last seen at a Bloomington home in the early morning hours of Nov. 15. Following a search of that home, police arrested three people who — according to authorities — were present when Albrecht arrived at the home on Nov. 15.
Police say one of the suspects is currently in the Hennepin County Detention Center. A formal charging extension was granted by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, according to a news release.

Two other suspects are in custody at the Bloomington Police Department Jail, authorities said.
