Be still and know that I am.
It took me a very long time to understand the meaning of this phrase and right now, it is the most important statement in my life. Because it has made such a profound impact, I want to share how I interpret it and why you should care.
Whatever you believe you are—it is true. Without fail, every single one of my clients (including myself) has some kind of limiting belief that keep appearing as a reality. As long as we continue to nurture that belief, our circumstances will not change. If you believe yourself to not be lovable, then all of your life experiences will affirm that as well. You will daily find proof that you are not lovable: the way people treat you, the way you treat yourself, and the way you interact with people. This is what spiritual teachers mean when they say - all you need to do is change yourself and then the world will change.

One of my favorite teachers, Neville Goddart, wrote a lot about this concept:
"I am is that reality to which, whatever happens, we must turn for an explanation of the phenomena of life. It is I AM's concept of itself that determines the form and scenery of its existence. Everything depends on its attitude towards itself; that which it will not affirm as true of itself cannot awaken in this world. That is, your concept of yourself, such as 'I am strong,' 'I am secure,' 'I am loved,' determined the world in which you live." —from The Power of Awareness

Whatever keeps showing up in your life that you don't like, look to the source of your beliefs. If money seems to me your struggle, look to belief "I am not worthy" and see where it shows up in your world. In my experience, one underlying belief sabotages most of your life. I am here to tell you and affirm that your limiting belief CAN be transformed. I am a living proof of that: coming from a poor, developing country and having the scarcity all around me — I now live in abundance because I am now abundant. As a result, it shows up everywhere in my life.
I leave you with one more quote from Neville:
"In the state of consciousness of the individual is found the explanation of the phenomena of life. If man's concept of himself were different, everything in his world would be different. His concept of himself being what it is, everything in his world must be as it is." ~from The Power of Awareness
What limiting belief sabotages your life? Be still and know. And then get to work on transforming it. JB
