Juicing Experience: Day 3

Day 3 and we are off with a bang! Literally.

Day 3 and we are off with a bang!  Literally.

Today I woke up with a teeth clenching migraine and refused to get out of the bed until 10am to drink some water.  believe it or not, Mario still wanted his juice, so I told him he could have Naked juice today.

Around noon I dragged myself from the clutches of the warm, cozy sheets and memory foam pillow and made the most awesome creation.  Of course it was my own creation; unless someone else has done this, but I didn't read it anywhere.

  • 8 oz of distilled water
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 spinach leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 scoop of Vi Shape
  • 1 cup mixed berries: blackberries, raspberries and blueberries

The Ninja had it ready in less than 3 minutes.

I did not experience hunger pains today.  However, I did have gas and could feel my bowels moving.  This must be why they recommend an enema.  No, I have not tried the enema yet.

My migraine started to dissipate around 3:00p, but my teeth and jaws still were hurting from clenching them all night and day.  Plus my back was aching Not sure if this has to do with the juicing, but not letting it deter me.  I have scheduled a massage which will also release toxins; thus, the need to drink plenty of water after having a massage.

Checked in with Mario and he was quite content with his Naked Juice, water and the new creation.  This may work for us after all.  I mentioned to him that we should get an ionic foot cleanse this weekend to speed up the detoxification process.  It would be interesting to see what colors we see.

Around 6pm I started to crave Chipotle....  What a huge temptation: Steak burrito bowl, white rice, pinto beans, tomatoes, hot, cheese, lettuce and chips with guacamole.  I wasn't hungry, it was just a craving.

I figured the craving meant my stomach was crying for comfort food.

For dinner I thought I would slightly give in and created another new juice; unless someone else has tried this before, but I didn't read it anywhere.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup organic chicken broth
  • 1 kale leaf
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 1 scoop VI Shape
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • Once juiced, heated it up on the stove (no microwave).

It wasn't super flavorful, but was definitely a comfort food.  It was enough to kill the craving and keep me on track.  Texture was a tolerable applesauce feeling.

Mario came home and I asked him if he was hungry:  what do you think?  Guess it was a dumb question to ask him.  I told him I had dinner ready; just have to take the chill off.   The slumped shoulders was an extremely hilarious sight to behold.  He asked what was in this drink and it better be something he likes.  He then added, "You know we need protein, Rhonda.   Can't just live on juice."

If Mario was truly following my posts on www.reflectionswithrhonda.com he would realize that protein can be found in many sources, not just steak and chicken. Reminded him again we are detoxifying and cleansing.  Poor baby.

Mario:  That S*** does not taste like anything

Reminded him we are cleansing.  Asked him if there was something else he would like to add to it.   He didn't respond.  When I left the kitchen I heard all kinds of noise.  Wonder what the cheater was up too...

Remember: Anything tastes good with hot sauce.

Yes, he added hot sauce to it.  have to say it wasn't so bad either. lol

Side note:  I noticed some pimples starting to form on my chin....  Detoxification beginning already.  Not sure if I should be happy or sad.

Day 3 is considered a success.
