Juicing Experience: Day 5

Day 5 under way.

Did I mention I was getting acne?  Yes, it started on my chin and has now went to  just under my cheekbone.  Thinking I may try a tomato paste or celery juice on my face to see if it will help.

Mario has gas.  I feared for his underwear!

I have been feeling a little under the weather, so I spent most of the day in bed.  It was around 2 pm when I started juicing.

The tomato overshadowed the other flavors, but it was still good.  Felt like I should add a little salt and pepper since I love raw tomatoes.

I was not hungry all day.  I did have cravings, but my stomach wasn't growling at me.  The acne has spread, but they are little bumps.

Mario called about 5 pm asking about what is for dinner.  He was really dejected when I read off the ingredients of the juice I made.

My wonderful drink today:

  • 1 small tomato
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 4 spinach leaves
  • 1 slice of ginger
  • 1/2 beet
  • 1 apple
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

 

I was hoping for steak and potatoes.

 

Poor baby.  Juicing may not be for him.  He talks about eating healthier, losing weight and exercise, but isn't really committed.  I have a feeling he cheated today...

Wondering if we should juice throughout the day and have a sensible dinner at night.  It is hard to watch others eat food while you drink juice and this would fix the problem of satisfaction.  However, we wouldn't really be detoxifying and our stomachs may not shrink.  

Would loved to hear from the experienced juicers on this solution.
